TEAM UP - Australia THREE LINES, THREE OUTCOMES

Team Up marks the next chapter in Australia’s sport-for-development initiative in the Asia-Pacific, evolving from the Pacific Sports Partnerships. With a fresh visual identity, Team Up is now embraced by 31 programs across the region.

The Team Up logo reflects the program’s core mission, with three lines representing its key goals:

1. Creating inclusive sport programs that engage women, girls, people with disabilities, men, and boys.

2. Ensuring sport organizations are safe, inclusive, and accessible.

3. Strengthening Australia-Asia-Pacific ties through sport-driven partnerships and collaboration.

Together, these goals drive Team Up’s vision: fostering partnerships that empower everyone to achieve their full potential through sport.

The Team Up logo’s line-based design draws inspiration from the lines marking sports venues—fields, courts, tracks, and pools. When designing the logo, I looked for images capturing the essence of collective sports activity. Soon, I noticed a common theme in aerial shots of sports spaces: strong, dynamic lines giving direction, energy, and momentum to the spaces and players.

These lines became central to the logo, representing sport’s power to drive us forward together. The fluid lines twist and turn, symbolizing the dynamism of sport and the interconnectedness of our program goals achieved through partner collaboration. The colored elements at each line’s start and end reflect the thoughtful, co-designed inputs and outcomes of Team Up programs, crafted with expertise from implementing partners and Team Up specialists.
